Lynnhaven inlet just west of cape henry opens upon the chesapeake bay and provides quick access to the chesapeake bay bridge-tunnel. there are three ramp facilities in the lynnhaven inlet area. a public launching facility is available at seashore state park at the end of 64th street.. There are fees to use the facilities and to park. the boat ramp has nearby restrooms and showers. the concrete ships, located off the park's waterfront, offer some of virginia's finest fishing. kiptopeke is also the closest eastern shore facility to the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel (cbbt)..





























The ramp you mention is good and there is good fishing in that whole area of the inlet. it's a little too long of a paddle from there to the bridge. also, the end of next week is around a full moon, the currents will be really strong around the bridge tunnel and the small bridge at lynnhaven inlet where the ramp is.. In 1950 the terminus opened after the completion of a $2.75 million pier, promoted as the world's largest and most modern ferry pier. ferry service ended in 1964 when the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel was opened..
